DNS record to add
| Type | Name | Value | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| CNAME | docs | upload.reposha.com | Waiting for DNS |
How to add the DNS record
It takes about 5 minutes. You only do it once.
- 1Pick a sub-domain
Use a sub-domain such as docs.yourfirm.in, not your main website address. Your website keeps working exactly as it does today.
- 2Log in where you bought your domain
For example GoDaddy, Hostinger, BigRock, Namecheap or Cloudflare. If someone else manages it, send them this page.
- 3Open the DNS settings
It may be called DNS Management, Manage DNS, Advanced DNS or Zone Editor. See the table below.
- 4Add one CNAME record
Type CNAME. Name or Host: docs. Value or Points to: upload.reposha.com. TTL: Automatic, or 1 hour.
- 5Save, then come back here
Click Check now. Most records work within 15 minutes. Some providers take up to 48 hours. We add a free security certificate (https) as soon as the record is found.
Where to find DNS settings
| Provider | Where to go | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| GoDaddy | My Products → your domain → DNS → Add New Record | Choose CNAME. Name: docs |
| Hostinger | Domains → Manage → DNS / Nameservers → Manage DNS records | Choose CNAME. Name: docs |
| BigRock | Manage Orders → your domain → DNS Management → Manage DNS → CNAME Records | Host: docs |
| Namecheap | Domain List → Manage → Advanced DNS → Add New Record | CNAME Record. Host: docs |
| Cloudflare | Your domain → DNS → Records → Add record | Set Proxy status to DNS only (grey cloud) |
| Others | Look for DNS, Zone or Records in your domain settings | Ask their support for “add a CNAME record” |
If it does not connect
- In the Name box, type only docs. Many providers add the rest of the domain for you, so typing docs.sharmaca.in can create docs.sharmaca.in.sharmaca.in.
- If a record named docs already exists (A, AAAA or CNAME), delete it first. A name can only point to one place.
- On Cloudflare, the cloud icon must be grey (DNS only), not orange.
- Still stuck after 48 hours? Email support@reposha.com with a screenshot of your DNS page. We will tell you exactly what to change.
When live, visitors to the domain’s home page see “Please use the personal link your firm sent you” (preview C-08). Wireframe: see this page on Solo, billed monthly.
